Jaguares vs Tigres UANL – Jornada 7

jaguares tigres

Tigres are still winless, but they’re also unbeaten in their last three after earning a 0-0 draw with Jaguares de Chiapas.

Both  of these “feline” teams have been struggling this season, and the 0-0 draw didn’t really help either one. The game had plenty of chances, but poor marksmanship doomed the two teams. Tigres especially have been poor in front of goal in the Clausura, and they’ve only scored two goals all season.

Jaguares started the game off with a dangerous chance, when a triangular passing sequence between Wilberto Cosme, Ernesto Pérez and Carlos Ochoa left Cosme alone in front of Tigres’ goalkeeper, but Sergio García was able to make the stop.

Tigres had a chance of their own in the 12th minute after Alan Pulido and Lucas Lobos brought the ball into the box, where it was laid off for Emanuel Herrera, who sent his shot over the bar.

Jaguares would have the last notable chance of the half when Bruno Batista sent his shot wide from inside the six-yard box.

There were fewer chances in the second half, and the moment of the half came in the 81st minute when Guido Pizarro appeared to be fouled inside the box. However, referee Miguel Ángel Chacón waved play on and did not call the penalty.

With the draw, Tigres remain in last place with 4 points, while Jaguares have 8.
