Argentinian striker Marco Ruben has arrived in Monterrey to sign with Tigres UANL ahead of the Apertura 2014 season. The forward, 27, joins the club from Evian in France, where he was on loan from Ukraine’s Dynamo Kyiv.
Although he has only scored two goals in his last 44 games, Ruben had a good return prior to that when he played for Rosario Central and Villareal. Ruben is looking to regain his form with Tigres and stated, “I’m a goalscorer.”
“Tigres is a great team, very respected in the Mexican league. They’ve said a lot to me about their fans, that the people are very passionate; I’m going to adapt well, it’s the same language and that’s important … I hope to score goals, help Tigres and make the fans happy.”
