Toluca vs Querétaro – 2:00 PM – Univision / Univision Deportes
Toluca (8th) saw their lead slip away against Monterrey last weekend as the Diablos Rojos went down to nine men and lost, 3-2, to the Rayados. Due to those red cards, Toluca will be missing Víctor Hugo Montaño and Óscar Rojas; in addition, Antonio Ríos is suspended due to yellow-card accumulation. Despite those absences, Toluca will look to keep their home unbeaten streak alive. The Diablos Rojos are unbeaten at home this season, with three wins and a draw, and they need to win to remain in the playoff places.
As for Querétaro (16th), the Gallos Blancos earned a 1-0 win over Chivas last weekend to end a three-game losing streak and a six-game winless streak, although they then followed that up by losing to Chivas on penalties in the Copa MX quarterfinals. They are still very low in the league table, and have had very little success on the road this season, with two draws and three losses – including a 4-1 dismantling at the hands of Puebla. Querétaro has yet to record a shutout on the road, and they’ll be hard-pressed to contain Toluca’s offense, which has scored 14 goals, second-most in the league.
