Mexico’s Starting Lineup vs Peru

el triMiguel “Piojo” Herrera has released the starting eleven that will face Peru in an international friendly on Wednesday night, and the lineup features some changes from the team that defeated Guatemala 3-0 over the weekend.

Rafael Márquez, who joined the team after the Guatemala game, will get a start in this one. Jesús Corona makes way for Alfredo Talavera in goal, and both members of the strike pair have changed from Saturday’s game.

The complete lineup, in Herrera’s usual 5-3-2 formation is: Alfredo Talavera in goal, with Juan Carlos Valenzuela, Rafael Márquez, Julio César Domínguez, Gerardo Flores, and Efraín Velarde in front of him. The midfield trio will consist of Marco Fabián, Javier Aquino, and Juan Carlos Medina, with Raúl Jiménez and Enrique Esqueda forming the strike partnership up top.
