Miguel “Piojo” Herrera has released the starting eleven that will face Brazil in an international friendly on Saturday afternoon, and the lineup features a number of changes from the team that drew Peru 1-1 on Wednesday.
José de Jesús Corona is back in goal in place of Alfredo Talavera, with George Corral, Hugo Ayala, Rafael Márquez, Julio César Domínguez, and Adrián Aldrete in front of him in a five-man backline. The midfield trio will consist of Mario Osuna, Javier Güemez, and José Manuel “Tecatito” Corona, with Eduardo Herrera and Raúl Jiménez forming the strike partnership up top.
Despite being a stronger team than the one that struggled against Peru, it remains to be seen if this lineup can get a result against a much better opponent in Brazil. This is Mexico’s final warm-up match before the Copa América.
