CONCACAF Cup: Mexico’s Starting Lineup vs the U.S.

el triA day before the crucial CONCACAF Cup match between Mexico and the United States, Ricardo Ferretti’s starting lineup has been revealed by Claro Sports.

Ferretti has chosen to change formations after he tried out a five-man backline in last month’s friendly against Argentina. El Tri will revert to a four-man backline for this game, lining up in a 4-3-3 with Moisés Muñoz in goal.

The defense will be made up of Miguel Layún, Héctor Moreno, Diego Reyes, and Paul Aguilar, with the midfield trio consisting of Héctor Herrera, Andrés Guardado, and Rafael Márquez. The three-pronged attack will be made up by Raúl Jiménez, Oribe Peralta, and Javier “Chicharito” Hernández.
