Dorados, who have yet to score in league play, took the lead in this one in the second half. Sonny Guadarrama made it 0-1 for the visitors in the 68th minute, but the Universidad de Guadalajara turned the game around with two goals in as many minutes.
Christian López was the orchestrator of the comeback, first tying the game in the 79th and then going on to score the game-winner in the 81st. His brace keeps Leones Negros perfect in the Copa MX to date.
Chivas de Guadalajara 1-0 FC Juárez
Chivas de Guadalajara defeated FC Juárez 1-0 on Wednesday night to leave the aggregate score level at 1-1. With away goals not coming into play as a tiebreaker, no bonus Llave point was awarded.
Chivas took the lead extremely early in this one, with a cross from Miguel Ponce finding an unmarked Michel Vázquez in the box. His header found the back of the net and gave the hosts the 1-0 lead. FC Juárez had several good chances to tie the game, principally through Leandro Carrijo, but they couldn’t get past Rodolfo Cota.
Their chances of finding an equalizer diminished in the second half after Juan Carlos Pineda earned a straight red card for a hard tackle on Carlos Villanueva, but they still made Chivas fight to keep their lead as Guadalajara earned their first win of 2016.
