There are no unbeaten teams left after Pachuca fell 1-0 to Atlas, but Veracruz, Chivas de Guadalajara, and Dorados are all still looking for their first wins.

In the relegation fight, Dorados remained in last place in the Tabla de Cociente with their loss. Relegation rivals Chivas and Monarcas Morelia both drew while Puebla won, which lifted them into 14th, above Veracruz. 

Monterrey and León are tied for the best attack in the league with 16 goals for, after both teams scored five this weekend. They’re followed by Pachuca with 15. The worst attack is still Dorados’, with four goals, followed by Jaguares de Chiapas with five.

In total, 34 goals were scored in Jornada 7 for an average of 3.78 per game.

In terms of individual goalscoring, André-Pierre Gignac (Tigres) scored again to bring his season total to seven. He’s followed by Rogelio Funes Mori (Monterrey), Franco Jara (Pachuca), and Dayro Moreno (Tijuana), who each have five.

On the other end of the field, the best defense belongs to Monterrey, with six goals against, followed by Pachuca and Morelia with seven. The worst defense belongs to Dorados, who have shipped 17 goals, followed by Veracruz with 16.

On the disciplinary side of things, the referees handed out 36 yellow cards and five reds, to Querétaro, Toluca, Cruz Azul, and América (2). Pumas UNAM tops the Fair Play table with their eight yellow cards (the fewest in the league) and no reds, while Cruz Azul is at the foot of the Fair Play standings with their 19 yellow cards and three reds. Atlas has received the most yellows to date, with 23, while América, Cruz Azul, and Veracruz are tied for the most reds.

The total announced attendance for Jornada 7 was 316,800 for an average of 35,200 per game. América vs Cruz Azul in the Estadio Azteca had the biggest crowd, of 69,442, while just 18,381 were in the Estadio Olímpico Universitario to see Pumas vs Santos Laguna.
