Pre-Apertura 2016 Roster Changes: Santos Laguna

Logo SantosSantos Laguna finished 7th in the Clausura 2016 season and qualified for the Liguilla, but they were knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by eventual champion Pachuca.

The Laguneros have brought in six players ahead of the Apertura 2016 season as they look for more success in the upcoming season.

Arriving from abroad are Colombian midfielder Fredy Hinestroza (Real Zaragoza) and Uruguayan striker Jonathan Rodríguez (Deportivo La Coruña), both on transfers, and Colombian defender Andrés Murillo (Club Deportivo La Equidad) on loan.

Moving within Liga MX are Emiliano Armenteros and David Andrade, who both arrive from Jagures de Chiapas on transfers, and Gael Sandoval, who is returning to Santos after a loan spell with FC Juárez.

In terms of departures, Adrián Aldrete (Cruz Azul), Luis Ángel Mendoza (Jaguares), and Andrés Rentería (Querétaro) have all transferred away from the club while Óscar Bernal (Tampico Madero), Néstor Calderón (Chivas de Guadalajara), and Javier Orozco (Jaguares) have all gone on loan.
