Puebla vs Tijuana – 7:00 PM – Univision Deportes
Puebla (7th) drew 1-1 with Monterrey last weekend, which was not a bad result coming as it did on the road. The Poblanos will now look for a win in their first home game of the season; they did win in midweek in the Copa MX with a 1-2 defeat of Querétaro. Puebla had a mostly positive home record last season, with four wins, two draws, and two losses, and they will look for a good result here. A win would also improve their positioning in the relegation standings.
As for Tijuana (4th), the Xolos finally halted a long home winless streak with a 2-0 victory over Monarcas Morelia last weekend. They then went on to defeat Toluca 3-0 in the Copa MX in midweek, with those back-to-back wins sure to give them a confidence boost. Tijuana was fairly good on the road last season as well, picking up points in six of their eight away games, and they will look to continue that form when they visit Puebla.
