Pachuca and América are the only perfect teams to date, while an additional seven teams are still unbeaten. Fully 10 teams are still seeking their first win, but Jaguares is the only team without any points.

Necaxa remained last in the Tabla de Cociente despite their second consecutive draw, while relegation rivals Veracruz won, Monarcas Morelia drew, and Tijuana lost.

Pachuca has the best attacking record with seven goals this season, followed by América with five and then Querétaro, Puebla, and Tijuana with four. Meanwhile, Tigres UANL, Cruz Azul, Necaxa, Santos Laguna, and Jaguares de Chiapas are all still waiting for their first goals of the season.

In total, 18 goals were scored in Jornada 2 for an average of two per game.

In terms of individual goalscoring, Oribe Peralta (América) scored a hat-trick to jump to the top of the standings. He’s followed by Hirving Lozano (Pachuca), John Stefan Medina (Pachuca), Neri Cardozo (Querétaro), Dayro Moreno (Tijuana), and Gabriel Peñalba (Veracruz), who all have two.

On the other end of the field, Pumas UNAM, Tigres, Cruz Azul, and Necaxa are tied for the best defensive record with zero goals allowed, followed by Pachuca, América, Chivas de Guadalajara, and Atlas, who have all allowed one. The worst defense still belongs to León, with five goals against, followed by Toluca, Morelia, and Jaguares, with four.

On the disciplinary side of things, the referees handed out 35 yellow cards and just one red, to Tigres. Cruz Azul and Puebla top the Fair Play table with their two yellows and no reds, while León is at the foot of the Fair Play standings with their six yellows and one red. Santos Laguna has received the most yellows to date, with seven.

The total announced attendance for Jornada 2 was 224,851, for an average of 24,983 per game. Tigres vs Atlas in the Volcán drew the biggest crowd, of 41,203, while just 14,137 were in the Estadio Cuauhtémoc to see Puebla vs Tijuana.
