Disciplinary Report: Apertura 2016 Week 4

disciplinary reportThe Disciplinary Committee has suspended four players in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 4 games.

The standout suspension goes to Fernando Meneses of Veracruz, who will miss the next two matches. He was given a one-game suspension for serious foul play and another for a lack of respect towards the match officials.

The Tiburones Rojos will also be without Adrián Luna for a game after he was suspended for receiving two yellow cards in the same match.

For the same reason, Cruz Azul’s Julián Velázquez will also miss Jornada 5.

Finally, Club América’s petition of nonconformity regarding Erik Pimentel’s red card was overturned by the Disciplinary Committee, and he was given a one-game suspension for serious foul play.
