Tigres UANL and Querétaro are the only unbeaten teams remaining, while Cruz Azul, Necaxa, Santos Laguna, and León are all still waiting for their first win.

Necaxa remained last in the Tabla de Cociente with their loss to Monterrey, while relegation rivals Monarcas Morelia and Veracruz both drew and Puebla lost.

Tijuana has the best attacking record with 12 goals scored, followed by Pachuca with 11 and América and Monarcas Morelia with 10. The worst attack belongs to León, with just one goal scored, followed by Chivas de Guadalajara, Cruz Azul, Jaguares de Chiapas, and Santos with two each.

In total, 18 goals were scored in Jornada 5 for an average of 2 per game.

In terms of individual goalscoring, Dayro Moreno (Tijuana) leads the league with six goals, followed by Rogelio Funes Mori (Monterrey) with five and Raúl Ruidíaz (Morelia) with four.

On the other end of the field, the best defense still belongs to Tigres, who have yet to concede a single goal this season, followed by Pachuca, Querétaro, and Cruz Azul, who have all allowed three. The worst defense is León’s, with 11 goals against, followed by Monarcas Morelia with nine.

On the disciplinary side of things, the referees handed out 45 yellow cards and four reds, to Querétaro, Puebla, and Santos (2). Jaguares top the Fair Play table with their five yellows (the fewest in the league) and no reds, while Veracruz is at the foot of the Fair Play standings with their 11 yellows and three reds (the most in the league). Santos has received the most yellows to date with 15.

The total announced attendance for Jornada 5 was 277,631, for an average of 30,848 per game. Monterrey vs Necaxa at the Estadio BBVA Bancomer drew the biggest crowd, of 49,892, while just 21,754 were in the Estadio Corona to see Santos vs Chivas.
