Disciplinary Report: Apertura 2016 Week 5

disciplinary reportThe Disciplinary Committee has suspended four players and an assistant coach in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 5 games.

Santos Laguna was the most affected team as they will be missing two players after Néstor Araujo and Agustín Marchesín were both given one-game suspensions for serious foul play.

Édgar Benítez of Querétaro was given a one-game suspension of his own for violent conduct while David Toledo of Puebla was suspended for receiving two yellow cards in the same game.

Finally, Óscar Velázquez, the assistant coach of Toluca, was given a one-game suspension for constantly protesting the referee crew’s decisions.
