Marcelo Barovero Out 3-4 Weeks

red crossMarcelo Barovero left Necaxa’s Jornada 5 game against Monterrey with an injury, and the starting goalkeeper will now be sidelined for up to a month.

Barovero was injured in a collision with Rogelio Funes Mori that resulted in a grade one knee sprain. Necaxa identified the injury in greater detail as a sprained right medial collateral ligament or MCL.

That type of injury usually results in three to four weeks of missed activity. The Rayos, who are still looking for their first win of the season, noted that the Argentinian keeper hopes to return to the field “shortly”.
