Per Univision, Chivas has signed Pulido from Greek club Olympiakos for a record-setting $18 million, the most expensive transfer fee paid by a Mexican club.
The 25-year-old striker started his career in Liga MX with Tigres UANL before a protracted contract dispute sent him to Greece, first to Levadiakos and then to Olympiakos. He made just a handful of league appearances for both clubs.
Pulido also has international experience, having been capped for the Mexican U-20, U-23, and senior national teams. However, his last call up was in 2014.
Chivas de Guadalajara is currently in 10th place in the league table, with eight points from six games, and just four goals in league play.
