Aguilar, Araujo, and Corona Out of September World Cup Qualifiers

A spate of injuries has resulted in three changes to Mexico’s roster for World Cup qualifiers against El Salvador and Honduras. El Tri will visit El Salvador on September 2nd and then host Honduras on September 6th.

Paul Aguilar suffered a left hip injury that will keep the Club América player out; he was replaced by Orbelín Pineda of Chivas de Guadalajara.

Néstor Araujo of Santos Laguna was sidelined by a right knee injury, and he was replaced by Hugo Ayala of Tigres UANL.

Finally, Jesús Manuel “Tecatito” Corona of Porto withdrew due to a right clavicle injury and was replaced by Elías Hernández of León.
