Monterrey and Necaxa both submitted red card appeals following the ejections of Dorlan Pabón and Marcos González, respectively. The Rayados’ petition was upheld, with Pabón cleared to play in Jornada 10, while Necaxa’s was denied. As a result, González will be suspended one game for serious foul play.
Joining him on the sidelines will be Jorge Hernández of Pachuca and Freddy Hinestroza of Santos Laguna, who were each given a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation after receiving their fifth cards of the season.
Finally, an investigation has been opened into Jaguares de Chiapas due to incidents involving their supporters’ groups in the Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna during and after the game against Cruz Azul on Saturday.
