Disciplinary Report: Apertura 2016 Week 13

disciplinary reportThe Disciplinary Committee has suspended five players and four coaches in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 13 matches.

Luis Noriega of Querétaro and Joao Rojas of Cruz Azul were both given one-game suspensions for receiving two yellow cards in the same game, while Michael Orozco of Tijuana was suspended one game for yellow-card accumulation after receiving his fifth caution of the season.

Juan Caicedo of Santos Laguna was given a one-game suspension for denial of a clear goal-scoring opportunity, while Matías Alustiza of Puebla was suspended one game for a lack of respect for the match officials.

Three coaches – Javier Torrente of León, Miguel Herrera of Tijuana, and Hernán Cristante of Toluca – were given one-game suspensions for constantly protesting the referee crew’s decisions.

Finally, Tomás Boy, coach of Cruz Azul, will miss the next two games after he was suspended for insulting the match officials.
