Tijuana vs Jaguares de Chiapas – 10:00 PM – Azteca America
Tijuana (1st) fell 1-0 to América last weekend to end a three-game winning streak and ten-game unbeaten streak. The Xolos are still unbeaten – and in fact perfect – at home this season, however, and they will look to get back to winning ways here. Tijuana has outscored their opponents 12-1 at home this season and they have the league’s leading goalscorer as well. They need at least a point here to ensure they’ll remain in first place and they’ll look for all three against the league’s worst team.
As for Jaguares de Chiapas (18th), they fell 1-4 to Monterrey last weekend to give them back-to-back losses and keep them winless in 10. With four games left to play this season, Jaguares are already mathematically eliminated from playoff contention and in midweek they were eliminated from the Copa MX as well with a 3-2 loss to América in the quarterfinals. Their poor season has also seen them slide down the relegation standings, where they are now in 16th.
