Following Monarcas Morelia’s Jornada 14 loss to León, the club decided to part ways with coach Enrique Meza.
We announce that today Enrique Meza leaves our coaching staff. We thank him for his dedication and effort.
Morelia is in the midst of a five-game winless streak, with four losses in that span; their poor run of form has seen them remain rooted to the foot of the relegation standings and as a result the club has seen fit to make a change.
Sporting vice president Roberto Hernández will take charge of the club on an interim basis for the remaining three games of the Apertura 2016.
Morelia thanks Meza for his effort and professionalism, as well as for the turnaround he engineered to avoid relegation in the 2015-16 season.
