disciplinary reportThe Disciplinary Committee has suspended six players and upheld a red card appeal in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 16 matches.

The standout suspension goes to Jonathan Cristaldo of Cruz Azul, who will miss the final game of the Apertura and the opening match of the Clausura 2017 after he was given a two-game suspension for serious foul play.

The other five disciplined players were all suspended for one game: Carlos Salcido and Edwin Hernández of Chivas de Guadalajara and Abraham González of Pumas UNAM for receiving two yellow cards in the same game; Robert Herrera of Puebla for using his hand to deny a clear goal-scoring opportunity; and Jorge Torres Nilo of Tigres UANL for yellow-card accumulation after he received his fifth caution of the season.

Finally, León successfully appealed the red card given to Leonel López, who is cleared to play in Jornada 17.
