Jaguares Players Threaten “Drastic Measures” Over Unpaid Wages

Logo JaguaresJaguares de Chiapas players are once again dealing with late and partial payments of their wages.

On November 1st, players sent a letter to Liga MX president Enrique Bonilla to apprise him of the situation and ask for his support to resolve the problem, which has been occurring intermittently for several years.

In the letter, the players stated that there are wages owed to every one of them in varying amounts.

“Some have only received between 20 and 40% of their monthly salary, and the vast majority of us are owed between two and two and a half months of salary,” they wrote.

“If we do not reach a real solution regarding our pay before the last matchweek of the current Apertura 2016 season, which begins on November 18th, we will be obligated to take drastic measures.”
