World Cup Qualifying: Mexico’s Starting Lineup vs the United States

Mexico is opening the Hex with a game against their rivals, the U.S. national team, in Columbus, Ohio. Columbus has been a house of horrors for El Tri in World Cup Qualifying and they will look to end the “dos a cero” curse here.

Mexico has named a strong starting XI for that purpose, with Gio dos Santos, “Chicharito”, and Carlos Vela all among the first eleven.

Juan Carlos Osorio has put out a 4-2-1-3 against the USMNT, consisting of Alfredo Talavera in goal; Diego Reyes, Héctor Moreno, Miguel Layún, Rafa Márquez; Héctor Herrera, Andrés Guardado, Gio dos Santos; Carlos Vela, Jesús Manuel Corona, and Javier Hernández.
