Veracruz Signs Antonio Briseño

Veracruz announced the arrival of defender Antonio Briseño ahead of the Clausura 2017 season.

Briseño joins the Tiburones Rojos on loan from Tigres UANL, via FC Juárez, where he spent the Apertura 2016 campaign on loan.

With Juárez, the 22-year-old started 17 games; he also suited up four times in the Copa MX, where he netted two goals.

Briseño has also suited up for Atlas and was a mainstay in Mexico’s youth national teams, playing at the U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels. He captained the U-17s at the U-17 World Cup in 2011, which Mexico won, and also captained the U-20s to a CONCACAF title in 2013.
