Atlas has announced the signing of Fidel Martínez ahead of the Clausura 2017 season.

Martínez, 26, joins Atlas from Pumas UNAM, where he started 12 games and scored two goals in the Apertura 2016 season.
The Ecuadorian striker joined Liga MX in 2012, when he signed for Tijuana. Martínez won the Apertura 2012 title with the Xolos.
In addition to playing for Tijuana and Pumas, he also spent a year on loan with Leones Negros. Martínez has appeared in a total of 141 Liga MX matches and scored 33 goals in Mexico.
He is also an active member of the Ecuadorian national team and has 29 caps for La Tricolor.
