Jaguares de Chiapas Sign Moisés Muñoz

Jaguares de Chiapas have announced the arrival of Moisés Muñoz ahead of the Clausura 2017 season.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper joins Jaguares from Club América, where he has played since 2012. Muñoz’s last appearance for the Águilas came just days ago in the Apertura 2016 final, where they finished runners-up to Tigres.

Muñoz started his professional career with Monarcas Morelia in 1999, making 282 appearances for them and winning the Ivierno 2000 title before transferring to Atlante in 2010 and then América in 2012. He won the Clausura 2013 and Apertura 2014 league titles with América, as well as the 2014-15 and 2015-16 CONCACAF Champions League titles.

“Muy” has also been capped for the Mexican national team, making 27 appearances for El Tri. He won the Gold Cup with Mexico in 2015.
