Pre-Clausura 2017 Roster Changes: Tijuana

tijuana logoTijuana finished first in the Apertura 2016, but they had a disappointing playoff run as they were knocked out in the first round by eighth-seeded León.

The Xolos have not brought in many players to date, however, with most of their roster moves going in the other direction.

Joining the club on a permanent transfer is goalkeeper Luis Michel from Lobos BUAP, while Juan Pablo Meza and Joe Corona have both returned to Tijuana following the end of their loan deals with Dorados de Sinaloa.

In terms of departures, Gabriel Hauche (Toluca) and Greg Garza (Atlanta United) both left on loan, while Kevin Gutiérrez (Querétaro) and Héctor Villalba (Atlanta United) returned to their parent clubs following the end of their own loan deals. Juninho (Chicago Fire) departed on a permanent transfer.

Finally, Federico Vilar retired.
