Pre-Clausura 2017 Roster Changes: Necaxa

logo necaxaNecaxa was the surprise of the Apertura 2016 season as the newly-promoted team finished 7th and qualified for the playoffs, where they reached the semifinals.

The Rayos are now looking to consolidate their success by remaining in the first division with a solid showing in the Clausura 2017.

In order to do so, they have brought in several players from abroad: Chilean midfielder Nicolás Maturana (Universidad de Chile), Argentinian midfielder Jonás Aguirre (Rosario Central), and Argentinian forward Maxi Barreiro (Delfín S.C.).

In terms of departures, Erik Vera (Pumas UNAM) and Alejandro Vela (Venados) have returned to their parent clubs at the end of their loan deals, while Jesús Gómez (Atlante) and Rodrigo Prieto (Zacatepec) have gone on loans of their own.
