Pre-Clausura 2017 Roster Changes: Pumas UNAM

Logo Pumas1Pumas UNAM finished 6th in the Apertura 2016 season and qualified for the Liguilla, where they fell to eventual champions Tigres in the first round.

The universitarios haven’t been too active in the transfer market, however, with just two new players joining the club.

Pumas signed midfielder Bryan Rabello (Santos Laguna) and his compatriot, forward Nicolás Castillo (Universidad Católica). In addition to the two Chileans, Pumas recovered defenders Erik Vera (Necaxa) and Alan Mendoza (Dorados de Sinaloa) after the end of their loan deals.

In terms of departures, six players have left the club. Making permanent moves away were Saúl Berjón (Oviedo) and Fidel Martínez (Atlas), while Luis Fuentes (Monterrey), Marcelo Alatorre (Veracruz), Alfonso Nieto (Herediano), and Eduardo Herrera (Veracruz) have all gone on loan.
