Pre-Clausura 2017 Roster Changes: Jaguares de Chiapas

Logo JaguaresJaguares de Chiapas had a brutal Apertura 2016 season as they finished in 18th with just two wins and just nine goals scored.

Jaguares are also precariously placed in the Tabla de Cociente that controls relegation, where they are currently 16th.

In a bid to avoid relegation, Jaguares have brought in six players to date.

Arriving on loan were goalkeeper Moisés Muñoz (América) and forward Mateus Goncalves (Pachuca), while goalkeeper Leonardo Burlán (Montevideo), midfielder Lucas Silva (FC Juárez), and forwards Franco Arizala (Puebla) and Enrique Esqueda (Veracruz) all signed permanent deals.

In terms of departures, nine players have left the club. Liborio Sánchez, Edwin Sandez, Adrián Marín, and Martín Zúñiga all went on loan to Cafetaleros de Tapachula, while José Ayoví was loaned to Ecuador’s Barcelona S.C. In addition, Mauricio Viana (Sporting Cristal), Óscar Jiménez (América), Egidio Arévalo (Veracruz), and Javier Orozco (Veracruz) left on permanent transfers.
