Pre-Clausura 2017 Roster Changes: León

Logo LeonLeón finished 8th in the Apertura 2016 season and snagged the last playoff place.

In the Liguilla, they upset first-seeded Tijuana in the quarterfinals but they then fell to eventual-champion Tigres in the semis.

La Fiera did not make many moves in the transfer market, with just three players arriving and two departing to date.

Joining León on loan were goalkeeper José Antonio Rodríguez and midfielder Carlos Peña, both from Chivas de Guadalajara, while Chilean defender Juan Cornejo (Audax Italiano) arrived from abroad on a permanent transfer.

In terms of departures, Juan Cuevas (Mineros de Zacatecas) returned to his parent club at the end of his loan deal, while Aldo Rocha (Morelia) went on a loan of his own.
