Pre-Clausura 2017 Roster Changes: Monarcas Morelia

morelia logoMonarcas Morelia endured a slump in the second half of the Apertura 2016 season that saw them finish in 13th.

More importantly, they are currently in last place in the Tabla de Cociente that controls relegation and will need a strong Clausura 2017 season to avoid the drop.

New coach Pablo Marini will have his work cut out for him, and there have not been very many changes to the squad to date.

Four players have joined Morelia, with defender Gerardo Rodriguez (Toluca) and midfielder Aldo Rocha (León) arriving on loan while defender Gabriel Achilier (Emelec) and midfielder Mario Osuna (Querétaro) arrived on permanent transfers.

In terms of departures, just two players have left the club, both on loan. Antonio Olvera has gone to Tampico Madero and Hugo Rodríguez to Mineros de Zacatecas.
