After regional rivals Tigres won the Apertura, the Rayados will have added motivation to get back to the playoffs this season.
To date, Monterrey has brought in six players ahead of the Clausura 2017 season. Arriving on loan are defender Luis Fernando Fuentes (Pumas UNAM) and striker Jonathan Cristaldo (Cruz Azul).
Making permanent moves to the club are goalkeeper Hugo González (América), defender Nicolás Sánchez (Racing), midfielder Jesús Molina (Santos Laguna), and forward Marco Bueno (Chivas).
In terms of departures, three players have left the club. Hiram Mier (Querétaro) and Alberth Elis (Houston Dynamo) went on loan, while Jonathan Orozco (Santos Laguna) left on a permanent transfer.
