Pre-Clausura 2017 Roster Changes: América

Logo AmericaAmérica finished 5th in the Apertura 2016 and qualified for the playoffs, where they made it all the way to the final before falling to Tigres UANL on penalties.

Their participation in the Club World Cup and the resulting late date of the Liga MX final has resulted in a short offseason for the Águilas.

To date, América has brought in just three players ahead of the Clausura 2017 season, all on permanent transfers.

Moving within Mexico were goalkeepers Agustín Marchesín (Santos Laguna) and Óscar Jiménez (Jaguares de Chiapas), while midfielder Cristhian Paredes (Sol de América) arrived from abroad.

In terms of departures, seven players have left the club. Moisés Muñoz (Jaguares de Chiapas), Jesús Moreno (Tampico Madero), and Diego Pineda (Venados) all went on loan, while Hugo González (Monterrey), Rubens Sambueza (Toluca), and Ventura Alvarado and Osvaldo Martínez (both to Santos Laguna) left on permanent transfers.
