Tijuana vs Cruz Azul – 10:00 PM – Azteca America
Tijuana (1st) beat Chivas de Guadalajara 0-1 last weekend to give the Xolos back-to-back wins. They’ll now look to make it three in a row when they return home to the Estadio Caliente. In their lone home game to date, they crushed Puebla 6-2, although they’ve scored just one goal in their two road games combined. Tijuana will look to prove that game wasn’t a fluke and also remain atop the table with another victory in this one.
As for Cruz Azul (11th), La Máquina drew 2-2 with Monterrey last weekend to remain unbeaten at home this season, but also winless in two overall. They are winless in four in all competitions after they drew 1-1 with Alebrijes de Oaxaca in the Copa MX in midweek. In addition, Cruz Azul is winless on the road in all competitions. After a promising start to the season, they’ll now be looking to get back to winning ways in this one with some urgency. They’ve been one of the lower-scoring teams, though, with just three goals through their first three matches.
