Pachuca remained unbeaten at home this season with a 0-0 draw against Toluca. The result keeps both teams winless in two, and also marks the second straight game in which neither the Tuzos nor the Diablos Rojos were able to find the back of the net.
The visitors started the game off better, and Toluca soon found several chances, principally through Fernando Uribe and Rubens Sambueza, although Óscar Pérez was there to deny them.
Pachuca slowly grew into the game and Hirving Lozano had a good chance in the 23rd minute, but it came to naught.
Toluca thought they had taken the lead before halftime when Efraín Velarde finished off a free kick, but the goal was rather controversially disallowed for offside.
In the second half, the pace of the game picked up as Tuzos and Diablos looked for the breakthrough. But despite the chances created at both ends, no one could find a final touch. Pachuca hit the woodwork but could get no closer than that.
With the 0-0 draw, Pachuca and Toluca both reach seven points.
