Valiño Out, Cardozo In at Puebla

logo Puebla 2016With Puebla winless in league play four weeks into the Clausura 2017 season, the club has announced a change of coach.

Ricardo Alfredo Valiño, who was hired in April 2016, leaves Puebla after 27 games in charge, with a record of nine wins, seven draws, and eleven losses.

The club thanked him for his work, commitment, and effort during his stint as coach and wished him luck in his future projects.

With the Poblanos deeply involved in the relegation fight – they are currently sitting 15th in the Tabla de Cociente – Puebla moved quickly to hire a replacement coach: José Saturnino Cardozo.

Welcome to the Club, Professor! To defend our colors with pride, commitment and passion.

The Paraguayan coach is coming off a very brief stint with Jaguares de Chiapas, which lasted for just nine league games in the Apertura 2016 season; prior to that, he spent three years in charge of Toluca.
