Mexico Roster for Iceland Friendly

el triThe Mexican national team will play their first game of 2017 this Wednesday, when they take on Iceland in an international friendly in Las Vegas.

As this game does not fall on a FIFA date, Juan Carlos Osorio called up only players from Liga MX and MLS, which is currently in preseason. Three members of the 23-man roster – Edson Álvarez, Luis Reyes, and Hugo González – are receiving their first call-ups to El Tri.

The complete 23-man roster is as follows:

Goalkeepers (3): Hugo González (América), Jesús Corona (Cruz Azul), Alfredo Talavera (Toluca).

Defenders (8): Hugo Ayala (Tigres UANL), Jorge Torres Nilo (Tigres UANL), Rafael Márquez (Atlas), Néstor Araujo (Santos Laguna), Jesús Gallardo (Pumas UNAM), Oswaldo Alanís (Chivas de Guadalajara), Luis Reyes (Atlas), Raúl López (Pachuca).

Midfielders (6): Jesús Molina (Monterrey), Jesús Dueñas (Tigres UANL), Edson Álvarez (América), Orbelín Pineda (Santos Laguna), Erick Gutiérrez (Pachuca), Jürgen Damm (Tigres UANL).

Forwards (6): Giovani dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Luis Montes (León), Ángel Zaldívar (Chivas de Guadalajara), Alan Pulido (Chivas de Guadalajara), Hirving Lozano (Pachuca), Elías Hernández (León)
