Both Monterrey and Santos Laguna remained unbeaten, while there are no winless teams remaining after Puebla earned their first victory of the season.

In the relegation fight, Morelia remained last in the Tabla de Cociente after their loss to Toluca, while relegation rivals Jaguares de Chiapas and Veracruz also lost and Puebla won.

Tijuana still has the best attacking record in the league with their 16 goals, followed by Monterrey with 11. Veracruz and Jaguares have the worst attacking record, with five goals each, followed by América, Necaxa, and Cruz Azul, who all have seven.

In total, 27 goals were scored in Jornada 7 for an average of three per game.

In terms of individual goal-scoring, Dorlan Pabón (Monterrey) leads the league with his five goals, followed by Avilés Hurtado (Tijuana) with four and then eight players with three goals each.

On the other end of the field, the best defense belongs to Toluca with four goals against, followed by Pachuca and Querétaro with five each. The worst defense belongs to León, with 13 goals against, followed by Puebla with 12.

On the disciplinary side of things, the referees handed out 42 yellows and one red, to América. Jaguares top the Fair Play standings with their 11 yellows and no reds, while Toluca is at the foot of the Fair Play table with their 24 yellows (the most in the league) and one red. Puebla has received the fewest cautions to date, with nine, while Pumas, Atlas, Chivas de Guadalajara, and Monterrey are tied for the most reds with two apiece.

The total announced attendance for Jornada 7 was 244,178, for an average of 27,131 per game. Monterrey vs Pachuca in the Estadio BBVA Bancomer drew the biggest crowd, of 50,899, while just 13,516 were in the Estadio Victoria to see Necaxa vs Querétaro.
