Disciplinary Report: Clausura 2017 Week 8

disciplinary reportThe Disciplinary Committee has suspended two players and one coach and opened an investigation into violent conduct in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 8 games.

Édgar Zaldívar of Atlas and Enzo Roco of Cruz Azul were both given one-game suspensions for receiving two yellow cards in the same game.

José Saturnino Cardozo, coach of Puebla, was given a two-game suspension: one game for constantly protesting the referee crew’s decisions and one for a lack of respect towards the match officials.

In addition, an investigation was opened into the incident between Jair Pereira and Jonathan Fabbro towards the end of Jaguares de Chiapas vs Chivas de Guadalajara that resulted in injury to the Jaguares player.

Update: The Disciplinary Committee has suspended Pereira for two games as well as fined him an undisclosed amount for violent conduct.
