Venados 1-1 Atlante (Group 6)
Venados earned their first point of the Copa MX in their final game of the tournament with a 1-1 draw with Atlante. The visitors looked the better side for long stretches of the game, but Venados defended valiantly and prevented the Potros from getting the win they needed.
Then, late in the second half, the hosts took the lead from the penalty spot. Fernando Herrera was called for a foul on Freddy Martín, and Leandro Navarro converted the spot kick to make it 1-0 in the 72nd minute.
