Pachuca vs Puebla – Jornada 12 Recap and Highlights

Pachuca extended their home unbeaten streak to 26 league games but remained winless in two overall after playing out a 0-0 draw with Puebla. The result leaves the Poblanos winless in three.

The Tuzos started the game off better and they had a few early chances as they looked to make their home-field advantage count. Víctor Guzmán had a good chance in the 9th minute, but Cristian Campestrini was able to send his shot out for a corner kick.

Hirving Lozano and Jonathan Urretaviscaya were also dangerous for Pachuca, but they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Towards the end of the half, Puebla began to get into the game and possession evened out; however, the visitors were unable to trouble Óscar Pérez.

The second half continued in the same vein, with Pachuca enjoying more possession but unable to break down an organized Puebla defense.

It looked like the Tuzos would take the lead in the 54th minute, when referee Óscar Macías called a penalty for the hosts, but Hirving Lozano was unable to convert the spot kick.

There were no better chances than that, and in the end neither team was able to break the deadlock.

With the 0-0 draw, Pachuca reaches 18 points while Puebla reaches 10.
