Toluca moved into first place with their 2-0 victory against Necaxa, while León remained last despite their 0-1 victory against Tigres UANL.

In the relegation fight, Veracruz remained last in the Tabla de Cociente despite their 3-1 win against Cruz Azul, while relegation rivals Monarcas Morelia and Puebla drew and Jaguares de Chiapas lost.

The best attacking record belongs to Tijuana, with 24 goals scored, followed by Pumas UNAM with 20. The worst attack is Veracruz’s, with eight goals for, followed by Cruz Azul’s with nine.

In total, 18 goals were scored in Jornada 12 for an average of 2 per game.

In terms of individual goal-scoring, Nicolás Castillo (Pumas UNAM) leads the league with eight goals, followed by Avilés Hurtado (Tijuana) with six and then Dorlan Pabón (Monterrey), Milton Caraglio (Tijuana), Oribe Peralta (América), and Matías Alustiza (Atlas), who have five goals apiece.

On the other end of the field, the best defensive record belongs to Tigres, with nine goals against, followed by Chivas de Guadalajara, Pachuca, and Morelia, who have all allowed 10. The worst defense is León’s, with 19 goals against, followed by Tijuana, Jaguares, and Necaxa, who have all allowed 18.

On the disciplinary side of things, the referees handed out 24 yellow cards and just one red, to Tijuana. Santos Laguna continues to top the Fair Play table with their 17 yellows and one red, while Toluca is at the foot of the Fair Play standings with their 34 yellows and three reds. Chivas has received the fewest cautions to date, with 15, while Morelia has the most, with 35. Atlas has the most reds, with four.

The total announced attendance for Jornada 12 was 215,732, for an average of 23,790 per game. Tigres vs León in the Volcán drew the biggest crowd, of 41,291, while just 20,231 were in the Estadio Nemesio Diez to see Toluca vs Necaxa. It’s also worth noting that Veracruz vs Cruz Azul was played behind closed doors as a result of fan violence.
