Mexico Announces Roster for May/June Matches

The Mexican national team is about to enter a very busy stretch, beginning with two friendlies, then two World Cup qualifiers, and then the 2017 Confederations Cup – followed, later this summer, by the Gold Cup.

Juan Carlos Osorio has released a list of 32 players who will take part in Mexico’s upcoming matches, although not all 32 will join the camp – set to begin May 21st – at the same time, with club commitments delaying the arrival of several.

The complete 32-man roster is as follows:

Goalkeepers (3): José de Jesús Corona (Cruz Azul), Guillermo Ochoa (Granada), Alfredo Talavera (Toluca).

Defenders (8): Oswaldo Alanís (Chivas), Néstor Araujo (Santos Laguna), Raúl López (Pachuca), Rafael Márquez (Atlas), Héctor Moreno (PSV Eindhoven), Diego Reyes (Espanyol), Luis Reyes (Atlas), Carlos Salcedo (Fiorentina).

Midfielders (10): Jonathan dos Santos (Villarreal), Jesús Dueñas (Tigres), Andrés Guardado (PSV Eindhoven), Erick Gutiérrez (Pachuca), Elías Hernández (León), Jorge Hernández (Pachuca), Héctor Herrera (Porto), Miguel Layún (Porto), Jesús Molina (Monterrey), Orbelín Pineda (Chivas).

Forwards (11): Javier Aquino (Tigres), Jesús Manuel Corona (Porto), Jürgen Damm (Tigres), Giovani dos Santos (LA Galaxy), Marco Fabián (Eintracht Frankfurt), Jesús Gallardo (Pumas), Javier Hernández (Bayer Leverkusen), Raúl Jiménez (Benfica), Hirving Lozano (Pachuca), Oribe Peralta (América), Carlos Vela (Real Sociedad).
