With Miguel Herrera returning to América, Tijuana has named Eduardo Coudet as his replacement as coach of the Xolos for the Apertura 2017 season.
Coudet, 42, joins Tijuana from Rosario in his native Argentina. As coach of Rosario, Coudet led the club to two consecutive finals, although they finished runners-up both times, to Boca Juniors in 2014-15 and River Plate in 2015-2016.
Tijuana will be Coudet’s first coaching job in Mexico, but he suited up for San Luis and Necaxa during his playing days.
Coudet will be joined on the coaching staff by assistants Damián Gonzalo Facciuto and Diego Óscar Monarriz, as well as fitness coach Ernesto Pablo Colman.
