Disciplinary Report: Apertura 2017 Week 1

The Disciplinary Committee has suspended four players and a coach in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 1 games.

Diego Novaretti of León was given a one-game suspension for denial of a clear goal-scoring opportunity; Pablo Míguez of Puebla and Osvaldo González of Toluca were both suspended one game for serious foul play; and Cristian Pellerano of Veracruz was given a one-game suspension for receiving two yellow cards in the same game.

Hernán Cristante, head coach of Toluca, was also given a one-game suspension for constantly protesting the referee crew’s decisions in the Diablos Rojos’ 0-0 draw with Chivas.
