Toluca vs Atlas – 1:00 PM – Univision Deportes
Toluca (6th) beat León 3-1 last weekend to remain unbeaten this season. They won in midweek as well, with a 3-0 victory against Dorados de Sinaloa 3-0. The Diablos Rojos will look to keep that winning streak alive against one of the league’s two perfect teams in this one.
As for Atlas (1st), the Rojinegros beat Pumas UNAM 2-1 last weekend to remain perfect in league play. They are pefect in all competitions, actually, after earning a 0-1 away win against América in the Copa MX in midweek. Atlas will look to keep that winning streak alive – and remain top of the table – when they take on Toluca here.
Veracruz vs Puebla – 7:30 PM – Univision Deportes
Veracruz (17th) fell 1-0 to Monterrey last weekend to remain winless, goalless, and pointless in league play. A 1-0 loss to Alebrijes de Oaxaca in the Copa MX in midweek means they are winless, goalless, and pointless in all competitions to date. The Tiburones Rojos are currently in last place in the Tabla de Cociente and they need to turn their season around sooner rather than later.
As for Puebla (14th), the Poblanos drew 1-1 with Morelia last weekend to earn their first point of the season. Puebla remains winless, though, and they also fell 1-0 to Tijuana in the Copa MX in midweek. The Poblanos are tied for the worst defensive record in the league after allowing six goals in their opening two games, but they will look to rectify that against another struggling team in this one.
