Apertura 2017 Week 5 Preview: Sunday’s Game

Toluca vs Necaxa – 1:00 PM – Univision Deportes
Toluca (3rd) drew 0-0 with Cruz Azul last weekend to remain unbeaten this season but end their two-game winning streak. The Diablos Rojos did win in midweek, though, with a 1-2 victory against Dorados de Sinaloa in the Copa MX. They are perfect at home to date, with two wins in two games, and they’ll look for another victory in the Estadio Nemesio Diez in this one.

As for Necaxa (5th), the Rayos fell 0-3 to León last weekend to end their unbeaten start to the season. They rebounded in midweek with a 4-0 victory against Mineros de Zacatecas in the Copa MX, and they’ll look to get back on track in league play here. Necaxa remains unbeaten on the road this season, but continuing that streak in the Nemesio Diez could be a tough ask.
