Disciplinary Report: Apertura 2017 Week 9

The Disciplinary Committee has fined a club, suspended six players, and opened an investigation into another in the aftermath of this weekend’s Jornada 9 games.

The standout suspension goes to Julio César Furch of Santos Laguna, who was given a two-game suspension for violent conduct.

His teammates Walter Gael Sandoval and Jorge Sánchez were given one-game suspensions for serious foul play and receiving two yellow cards in the same game, respectively.

Rounding out the Santos sanctions, Jonathan Rodríguez is being investigated for allegedly making obscene gestures towards the crowd.

Miguel Ángel Samudio of América and Damián Musto of Tijuana were likewise suspended one game for receiving two yellows, while Joffre Guerrón of Pumas UNAM was suspended for yellow-card accumulation after receiving his fifth caution of the season.

Finally, Lobos BUAP was given an undisclosed fine for using uniforms other than the ones that had been previously designated for their game against Veracruz.
